The last couple of days there have been news of military attacks at the Thai-Cambodian border. In some media it might seem like war is imminent.

We are getting asked wether this might result in a postponing of travel or us not going at all. Currently we don't think this will affect us, but it has been and is something we are thinking about. What happens if we have to wait? We don't really have any backup plan.

We have been informed by NMS in Thailand that there is a low chance of this escalating to a degree that would prevent us from traveling there. Most likely it will continue for a time at the border areas and hopefully they will come to another ceasefire agreement. Bangkok and all other areas in Thailand are safe and operating as normal, according to local NMS staff.

Yet for the people who live in the border regions in both Thailand and Cambodia this is frightening and unsafe. It might seem like a small thing in today's war-torn world, but let’s also keep in mind and pray for those who have lost someone or are scared right now, because of this conflict.
